Virtual Factory Engineer
Gestamp, an international group dedicated to the design, development and manufacture of metal components for automobiles with more than 100 industrial plants in 24 countries and 44,000 employees, and Vicomtech, a technology centre of the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network specialising in applied research in digital technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Visual Computing & Interaction, have developed a joint agreement for the recruitment of profiles in a dual context.
We are looking for a professional to join our team in the position of Virtual Factory Engineer. The person who joins this position will receive specific training at the Vicomtech technology centre for a period of 12 months and will subsequently join Gestamp to carry out the functions specified below. The person involved will have the potential to lead/develop the company's Industry 4.0 projects.
Responsibilities after the end of the training phase:
- Manage and coordinate new developments for Gestamp's internal applications to digitise and manage plant operations.
- Manage all errors in the applications.
- Manage the implementation and adoption of the applications in the organisation's plants.
Candidates must have:
- University degree.
- Technical knowledge on:
- Databases in SQL, Mongo or Influx.
- DevOps platforms, Power Bi
- Front-end and back-end
- Industrial communications systems: MQTT and OPC-UA.
- PLC virtualisation.
- Ability to deal with a variety of tasks in a dynamic and collaborative working environment.
- Ability to work in a team and management capacity.
- English: C1-C2.
