Successful completion of the SmaCS - Smart cabin system for aircraft readiness
The results obtained have met the objectives set and have given rise to the development of a prototype validated in the CleanSky2 integrated cabin demonstrator for the digitized verification of cabin baggage during the takeoff and landing phases.

In an open and friendly atmosphere, the Consortium members presented the progress, results and recommendations elaborated in SmaCS and discussed them with the Topic Manager. During the session, they had the opportunity to exchange points of view with and assess actions aimed at protecting and transferring the technology developed.
The meeting was fruitful and marked the end of the project which was officially closed in July 2022 after three years of development and implementation.

The SmaCS project has been funded by Clean Sky 2 Joint Undertaking, part of the Horizon 2020 program of the European Union. The Consortium is made up of two key players in aeronautical camera systems and machine learning, OTONOMY AVIATION and VICOMTECH.
