Batua.eus goes one step further and expands its translation services into English and French

Pursuing its goal of extending and facilitating the use of Basque openly and at the service of society, Batua.eus adds the English and French languages into its translation service in Basque and Spanish. Thanks to the artificial intelligence algorithms that it has integrated, the system learns by the use of the tool and improves the results it offers with each use. Working along this line, the state of technology based on Basque is gradually being brought closer to that of other majority languages.

Batua.eus also has an API available at API.ITZULI.VICOMTECH.ORG for its integration and use in other innovative research projects.

Vicomtech keeps on implementing its process of continuous improvement of the tool that always allows it to apply the most advanced Artificial Intelligence technologies to Batua.eus. In addition, it will soon incorporate a spell checker in all four languages to detect errors in the introduction of source texts and correct them automatically, so that the translation results are even more accurate.

To date, the indicators for the use of the tool have yielded very satisfactory results that encourage us to continue with the effort and purpose of improving translation technologies with Basque as the central language. Vicomtech thanks the community for their collaboration and the trust placed in the service and hopes to continue meeting the expectations of users with an increasingly evolved and precise system.
