First DVB-H broadcasting in the Basque Country

Vicomtech-IK4 and ETB have organized the first DVB-H (DVB-T mobile) broadcasting in the Basque Country. During the last week of June, some members of the FURIA project have carried out field trials in Durango. The main objective is to contribute to the improvement of DVB-H networks" planning and display. In order to get this, last generation pre-commercial DVB-H transmitter, gap-fillers and receivers have been used.
The FURIA project has been supported by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce within the Avanz@ Plan Programme, in the Promotion of Technical Investigation side (PROFIT), in the strategic axis for the impulse of R&D&I set by the Spanish Government through the Ingenio 2010 Programme.
Moreover, this Project has gotten help from the European Commission, via FEDER funds.
