With the entry of the three centres, the open innovation platform reinforces its commitment to technology prototyping and the identification and dissemination of new technological opportunities as its main strategic lines.
For the Director of the Bilbao headquarters of Vicomtech, Agustín Zubillaga: "INNOLAB allows us to continue developing strategic alliances of reference in which to share our experience and knowledge in AI that we have been building and applying over the last 20 years".
At the Association's Members' Meeting held on 19 January, its members endorsed their commitment to technology and innovation. In addition, Sidenor, Ikerlan and Vicomtech were welcomed with the presence of Xabier Ochandiano, Councillor for Economic Development, Trade and Employment of the Bilbao City Council and the rest of the corporations that form part of INNOLAB such as the BBK Foundation, Iberdrola, Mondragon Corporation, IMQ Group, University of Deusto, BCAM (Basque Center for Applied Mathematics), Inkolan, Tecnalia and EL CORREO.
Since its launch, INNOLAB has developed more than 150 activities around new technological trends and their opportunities, such as the three editions of the 'LEADERS IN TECH' conference held, among others, with the participation of more than 70 top-level experts.
Vicomtech's entry represents a major strategic commitment, as it continues to contribute to strengthening the digital transition by improving the competitiveness of the Basque business fabric through innovation.
