Vicomtech had a significant participation in MUBIL Mobility Expo, as in previous editions. This event has once again allowed interaction with various agents of the ecosystem as well as the exchange of experiences, knowledge and needs.
Sustainable and reliable mobility requires applied Artificial Intelligence solutions in various areas. At Vicomtech, advanced technologies aimed at infrastructures, operators and vehicles are being researched, developed, and implemented.
In the field of infrastructure, the center has integrated AI-based systems for connected mobility, maintenance, mobility management and security. From the operators' point of view, developments focus on technology applied to intelligent route planning, automation and optimization, multimodality, and safety. Regarding vehicles, advanced cabin monitoring systems, driving assistance systems, infrastructure maintenance and security are being researched and implemented.
At MUBIL, Vicomtech has had the opportunity to make available to visitors a real-time demonstrator of generative AI which enables generating synthetic data when real data do not exist, are insufficient or cannot be used. These data become essential to train artificial intelligence models with complete security and guarantee the anonymization of the base data used.
On the other hand, the Director of Technology Transfer, Gorka Marcos, has participated in the Round Table “Decoding the new era of mobility: the future is autonomous” together with representatives of Irizar e-mobility, NAITEC, CRISALION Mobiliy and Masermic and moderated by Álvaro Arrúe, Director of Basque CCAM.
The Vicomtech stand was visited by the Delegation made up of several representatives of local administrations and entities such as the Deputy General of Gipuzkoa, the Minister of Economic Development, Sustainability and the Environment of the Basque Government and the Director of Mubil, among others. In this way, they have had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the center's activity aimed at the mobility sector and the most advanced solutions that are being developed through various projects.
Go Mobility by Mubil is the professional fair for the sustainable mobility ecosystem in its industrial and digital aspects. A space where the main public and private actors in southern Europe meet where the needs of the present and the future challenges of sustainable mobility find their solutions.
