Vicomtech-IK4 Project in the Fraunhofer Magazin

The European WIDE project (IST-2001-34417) , which consortium Vicomtech-IK4 belongs to, has been highlighted in the last edition of the Fraunhofer Magazin. The main objective of the project is to provide a semantic tool that allows the collaborative work between the engineers and stylists in a company. Vicomtech-IK4 is responsible for the creation of ontologies that represent the domain but also for the development of the MetaLevel, which allows the inference of the represented knowledge. The project has developed a tool that uses graph based visualization techniques that support the user in the information retrieval process, providing him a domain contextualization of the results.
