Vicomtech incorporates into RENIC, the Spanish Excellence Network of Cybersecurity Investigation

Vicomtech has recently joined the Spanish Excellence Network of Cybersecurity
Research (RENIC) with the purpose of sharing its knowledge in the field and
reinforcing collaboration with other network members.

RENIC is an association that gathers cybersecurity centres of research in the
Spanish technological sector. It has its origins in the ¨Trust plan in the Digital field
2013-2015¨, which was developed to achieve one of the objectives set by the
Spanish Digital Agenda of the year 2013.

The association was started by INCIBE, the National Institute of Cybersecurity, with
the idea of promoting technological research and development, the spread of
knowledge and technologies throughout the industries and the development of I+D+i
projects related to cybersecurity.

RENIC carries out all said actions with the purpose of improving research
competitiveness in the national field and to discover solutions to arising problems
through different entities connecting and collaborating with each other.

RENIC´s activities are of benefit to society since the network is formed by
prestigious, highly knowledgeable and expert organisms that come together to
respond to the current needs cybersecurity presents.
